For Joe and Ashley, it was love at first swipe…on OKCupid. Like all the best love stories, Joe and Ashley’s romance began with both thinking they were being catfished. A girl from St Louis, living in Germany meets a boy living in St Louis that grew up in Germany only 30 minutes away? Impossible! But lo and behold, it only took a mere few days before they were talking non-stop and video calling every chance they got (and joking about eloping in Vegas). Bound by their love of travel, culture, food, and adventure their connection grew for weeks until by freak chance they were able to finally meet face-to-face for a long weekend (which turned into a week) 3 months later. Sparks flew and they were hooked. They were half a world apart for the next 3 months then they moved in together! From there it was 8 years, 5 moves, 2 states, 4 fur babies and a million adventures for them to finally get to the day they’ve been planning for almost a decade – the day they get to say “I do.”
